We are on day two of our landscape construction process. This has provided the kids a lot of "ooo's" and a lot of "ahhh's". One large tractor, a bobcat, a dumptruck, plenty of noise, and more than enough dirt keeps them contented all day long. They wait patiently for Mr. Mike to finish and the second he's done for the day, they are outside with their old pair of shoes, checking out all the movement of earth. I have to say it is pretty exciting.

Little Reading Nook
This is one of my favorite rooms in the house. It just oozes, "Sit down with your favorite book and cup of tea please." It's a small room, so it manages to be the cleanest room of all. We finally got some "grown-up" bookcases that we have packed with our favorite books and small treasures.

Hello Spring?
Yes, I'm adding a question mark to that because it certainly does not feel like Spring is coming anytime soon. Cold, cloudy, rainy...I thought I lived in Southern California. Well, time for another Mojo Monday. If nature is not bringing Spring to me, then I'll create some of my own. I could barely wait for my Taylored Expressions order, so the second it got here, I started inking it up. I love all of the beautiful images. This Springtime set coordinates really well with the Stampin' Up paper I've had for awhile. I just love Spring colors!

Welcome to the Jungle
Our little nephew turned one this past week. He has brought us so much joy. We love watching him throw a fastball across the room, eat just about anything, and bond with his cousins who adore him. I love these small Imaginisce jungle-themed stamps, they are perfect for celebrating toddlerhood. At the party, Superman flew in for a visit.

After My Own Heart
Paige started scrapbooking today. She received a Hello Kitty scrapbook as a birthday gift and I finally got around to ordering the pictures from her party. Then, I bought her a little taperunner from Staples, which really made her feel cool. She squealed, "My very own tape thingy!" Immediately, she sat down and got to work. A girl after my own heart.

Banana Nut Muffins
Not only is Tyler Florence easy on the eyes, he has a great banana nut muffin recipe that is easy to make. I whipped up these bad boys in less than hour this afternoon. I don't expect them to last too long, hopefully there will be a few for Brian when he gets home.

What We're up to Wednesday
The weather was so beautiful today, so I took advantage and packed us up for the pool. I had so much fun snapping photos of the kids jumping into the water. By far, this one turned out to be my favorite. Paige was on a mission to get major height and she sure accomplished that for her five year old self.

Get Well Wishes
My aunt is undergoing surgery today, so I knew just the stamp to use to brighten her day. This little doggie by Helz Cuppleditch is so stinkin' adorable! And she's lots of fun to color too. All the papers are Stampin' Up. And the little cross stitch I borrowed from something that Ali Edwards did on her scrapbook page. All of this using yesterday's Mojo Monday layout. I think all the colors came out nicely, and as long as it brings a smile to my aunt's face, I'll be happy.

Remembering Nick's Baptism
Here's another project using items from my kit for my scrapbooking class. I tried basting a stitch on the ribbon which I saw on another classmate's project and it looked so cute. It worked great until I tried to adhere it to the paper. The stitch broke; however, I used a beaded pin to try and create the same effect. I really like how the colors make a sweet background for Nick's baptism. I have a ton more pictures from this beautiful day as well. Yes, that is Nick getting fully dunked into holy water. That is the tradition in the Orthodox Church. Thankfully, he was over it pretty quickly.

Friend to Friend
For this card, I used a layout from a Mojo Monday back in January. Whenever I'm in a rut, I always get good ideas on their blog. I recently joined a scrapbooking group and was given a kit with lots of pretty papers and embellishments. My job was to create anything I wanted using the things in the kit. This card uses everything from the kit except the stamp. The other requirement was to use a beaded pin on my project which I managed to tuck behind the bow.
